Osteopathy Ottawa

Osteopathy Ottawa

Hi, I’m Alexander, D.O.M.P. With nearly 20 years of experience practicing in Canada, I focus on a very specialized approach in osteopathy: thermal-assisted soft tissue treatments.

This is a highly targeted method that has proven effective in relieving issues such as:

  • Myofascial tension and “spikes”
  • Muscle-related pain
  • Low back discomfort
  • Neck pain and stiffness

It’s a narrow field of specialization, but one that can bring significant relief for many people dealing with persistent musculoskeletal symptoms. With over 20 years of experience in Ontario, this practice blends hands-on massage therapy with sauna-based treatments rooted in osteopathic principles.

Certified with a Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice from the London College of Osteopathy and Health Sciences, the work is grounded in a practical, holistic approach that respects the body’s natural ability to heal.

Experience includes 15 years at A&A Resort Spa in the Ottawa Valley and ongoing work since 2021 at Löyly Spa (former Hot Rock Spa)  in Ottawa.

The core method: Thermo-Enhanced Soft Tissue Techniques.

By combining manual therapy with controlled heat—through sauna, steam, or heated compresses—this approach increases tissue flexibility, boosts circulation, and supports deep muscular release.

Heat prepares the body, making manual treatment more effective and leading to improved mobility, pain relief, and faster recovery.

Since August 2025, I have been providing services in my osteopathy clinic in South Ottawa, where this knowledge is applied in daily practice.

⚠️ Important to know:

Osteopaths in Canada are not considered medical doctors. That means we do not provide medical diagnoses, prescriptions, or referrals. If you are dealing with chronic illness, serious injury, or more complex health conditions, I strongly encourage you to first consult your family doctor.

My role as an osteopathic manual practitioner is to work with your body’s structure, ease restrictions, and support its natural healing potential—always in complement to your primary healthcare.
